Ecology and Evolution


Course Description

This course covers the principles of ecology and evolution, including the ecology of populations, communities, ecosystems and biomes, as well as the evolution of populations and the origin of species and higher taxa. The laboratory portion of the course includes a research project designed, researched and presented by students.

BIOL-006C-01Z: This is an online lecture, laboratory class. There are SOME scheduled weekly meetings for the lecture and lab as noted in the class listing. The rest of the lecture and lab hours can be completed independently each week on the student's own time. Students must have access to a computer, the internet and an individual email address. Most De Anza classes will use the Canvas course management system.
