Note: Future edits DASG to correct references from “DASB” to “DASG.” 2:20-2:25 Review and approve notes from May 6, 2025 meeting A Approved 2:25-2:35 Resource Hub - formerly the Food Pantry I The Hub (formerly the Food Pantry) relocated to the Baldwin Winery (lower level, north side near Lot 8). Offers food, cleaning supplies, clothing, and transportation assistance (e.g., shuttle vouchers).Open weekdays with varying hours—students should check the website before visiting. 2:35-2:55 Measure G Update I Completed/Closeout Projects
- Beach Volleyball Conversion: Renovated softball field into six NCAA-regulation volleyball courts. ADA upgrades, new signage, and lighting installed. Currently in use by PE and Athletics.
- Flint Center Demolition: Site fully cleared and landscaped for future development (Creative Arts Building site).
In Construction- Roof Upgrades (E3, S4, S5): Conversion to single-ply roofing and siding repairs.
- Restroom Renovations (S2, S6, L5): All-gender conversions; completion expected Summer 2026.
In Design/Planning- PE Complex Renovation: Funded jointly by the State and Measure G. 76,000 sq. ft. modernization (excluding the pool). Includes seismic, HVAC, and accessibility upgrades. Design submission: January 2026; Construction start: Summer 2027.
- Campus Center Lighting, Flat Roofs, and EV Chargers: Early-stage planning.
Creative Arts Building – Presentation by Aaron Forbes (DLR Group)- Site located where the Flint Center once stood.
- Will replace Buildings A8 and A9.
- Includes:
- Studios for photography, ceramics, sculpture, painting, digital arts
- Art history lecture hall
- Student collaboration areas and outdoor learning spaces
- Focus on sustainability, flexibility, and strong campus connection via the Sunken Garden.
- Timeline: Design through 2026 → Construction start in 2027 → Target completion ~2029.
Campus-Wide Impacts & Relocation Planning
Major upcoming construction (PE Complex & Creative Arts) will require temporary relocations.- Potential use of temporary trailers and shared campus spaces.
- Campus community may be asked to accommodate displaced programs.
Future Projects & Maintenance Updates- Tennis Courts: Resurfacing and restriping for pickleball.
- VPAC Lighting Upgrade: Recently completed, additional improvements pending.
- Campus Center Remodel: First-floor refresh planned.
- Lighting Upgrades: Transition to LED campus-wide.
- Partnership with Santa Clara County Housing Department: Mobile health trailer to operate from Parking Lot J daily. Long-term vision: permanent health services facility in Lot B.
- Tree Maintenance: 124 trees scheduled for trimming (including RSS area). Work delayed to avoid academic disruption.
