    2. Villages Update:
      • Anu Khanna announced The Office of Communication is sending out information that introduces Guided Pathways, what it is, and how everyone is involved. The Villages Team have also created a short video for welcome day.
      • Brian Malone explained the Villages initiatives and what it means for the students. He shared an update on the planning for welcome day and reminded everyone that sessions for the Villages will be from 10am-11am. The Villages Team will have the opportunity to come up with their own activities for the Fall.
      • Kim emphasized that it has not been an easy journey for the Villages Team but is very thankful for everyone’s support.

    3. S3R Team Zoom Proposal:
      • Mary Pape presented the S3R Team’s second initiative Spaces to Study. This initiative focuses on providing a space for students to study, engage, and connect. The main objective of this proposal right now is to provide immediate spaces for students. She recognizes that there are long term and short term goals for this initiative, but for the meantime the S3R Team would like to use spaces where supervision in not necessary or already in place. She made some suggestions of places that can be used on campus that are computer and Wi-Fi friendly. She also brought up the fact that some students will need a computer and a headset. Mary asked for a little flexibility on budgeting because they are not sure exactly what they will be needing. In the meantime, the S3R Team is planning to order extension cords, wired headphones, and headsets. They would like to proceed with purchasing 100 headsets and start setting up rooms that have charging/computer/Wi-Fi capability.
      • A discussion about supervised areas was brought up and it was suggested the S3R Team talk with the rest of the teams about this proposal before proceeding.
      • Concerns of promoting and advertising workshops/activities/availability were raised. As a result, the Villages Team will be the ones to promote this information to the students.
      • A concern was raised that it will be difficult to track down the headphones after checking them out to students, but the plan is to just give the student the headphone to keep.
      • As of today, possible spaces/rooms have been visually checked and the computers being used in these spaces are compatible with headphone jacks.
