      • Our student rep had to step down due to a schedule conflict. We are awaiting to hear about a replacement from DASG.
    • Senate Needs
      • Academic Senate is looking for people to serve on tenure committees.
    • Partners in Learning
      • Sal has sent information regarding the 2026 Partners in Learning conference here at De Anza. All our welcome to attend. If you are interested in presenting, please reach out to Sal by March. 
    • Online Ed Program Review
      • Here is where the online ed team reflected on the past year and looked forward to where to grow in the future. Please review if interested. 

    Canvas Updates

    • Canvas has several new features out now. Take a look at YouTube Migration to convert videos to Studio and without the ads. Discussion checkpoints is now live for multiple due date discussions. Check the feature options in Canvas to see what is new. 

    AI Townhall Recap

    • The townhall featured a presentation by Jory and Marina. They spoke for about half an hour then answered audience members' questions. There was no secret answer for solving the agentic AI issue, but shared what they are working on. Feedback was passed along for future townhalls to be held on Zoom. 

    Pronto Gradebook

    • Lauren from Pronto dropped by to talk about the Pronto to Canvas gradebook integration. She let the group know about a panel for instructors to give feedback. Pronto is designing this feature with collaboration with instructors so make sure to reach out to Lauren if you have feedback.
