Preparation Course for General Chemistry
This course is an introduction to the core theory and problem-solving techniques of chemistry as preparation for CHEM D001A and CHEM D01AH and other science-related fields, as well as gravimetric and volumetric analysis, rudimentary laboratory equipment and operations, and the preparation and maintenance of a laboratory notebook.

CHEM-025.-01Y:HYBRID, meets on-campus and online. This class meets each week on campus and online as noted in the class listing. This class requires face masks for attendance on campus throughout the quarter. Students must have access to a computer, the internet and an individual email address. Most De Anza classes will use the Canvas course management system. We recommend a laptop or desktop computer to successfully complete the course; a tablet or phone may not be adequate for all assignments and tests.
