SMSC REU - Saving Endangered Species & Habitats: Research & Training for Conservation Biologists

The Smithsonian-Mason School of Conservation (SMSC) is seeking to fill 10 REU positions for Summer 2026 at our REU Site “Saving Endangered Species and Habitats: Next-generation Education, Research, and Training for Conservation Biologists.” Undergraduate students will have the opportunity to conduct hands-on conservation research and gain career-ready skills to develop the best management practices for the conservation of threatened species with the goal of helping to alleviate the global extinction crisis.

UCSF Summer 2026 Pre-med Program Hospice and Palliative MedicineMESA Opp(internships)

The 3.5-week program provides premedical students with an immersive clinical experience in the field of hospice and palliative medicine, with clinical shadowing in inpatient palliative medicine, outpatient palliative medicine (virtual visits), and home-based hospice. The program includes didactics related to the field of hospice and palliative medicine, including tools for resiliency in this work. Participants will also be provided with longitudinal mentorship by palliative care physicians at UCSF through the medical school application process and beyond.

Y.E.S: Youth Equity Service Fellowship Program

YES flyerJoin us for the info-session for an internship opportunity at UCSF. Through a six-week paid internship, students will develop the skills needed to pursue a career in the life sciences by working with a mentor in a QBI lab at UCSF.

The program will include the following; 

  • Mentored internship at a QBI laboratory  
  • Selected participants are paid $22/hour 
  • The length of this fellowship is 6-8 weeks over the summer (tentative dates available upon participant that is chosen) 

Science Small Groups (SSG) at Stanford University

MESA External OppInvites you to for the Spring session (2/16-5/1). SSG is a virtual research training and mentorship program specifically for community college students in the Bay Area.
