Complete ONE of these course sequences to earn a certificate as an Autonomous/Electric Vehicle Technician

  • Level 1: AUTO 60, AUTO 61B, AUTO 62A, CIS 18A, CIS 40*
  • Level 1 (for students in Auto Tech Day Program): AUTO 91A, AUTO 92A, AUTO 92B, AUTO 99A, CIS 18A, CIS 40*
  • Level 2: AUTO 66, AUTO 67A, AUTO 67B, CIS 69B, CIS 108*

*FREE tutoring is available for CIS classes

De Anza's Automotive Technology Department partnered with a leading maker of autonomous and electric vehicles to create the Autonomous/Electric Vehicle Technician program

Here’s How It Works

If you are granted the scholarship

  • You agree to pursue a certificate in one of the sequences listed above, by taking all required courses in three consecutive quarters (one academic year)
  • You will receive a $500 scholarship for each quarter – which you can use for tuition, fees or personal expenses – up to $1,500 for the academic year
  • After the first quarter, you will receive your next stipend only if you complete the required courses taken in the previous quarter AND enroll in required courses for the new quarter

Scholarships are funded by the Metallica Scholars Initiative, a collaboration between All Within My Hands, which is the nonprofit philanthropic organization created by Metallica's members and management, and the American Association of Community Colleges. The initiative supports career technical education at dozens of community colleges around the country. De Anza is proud to be one of those colleges!
