Computers You Can Use on Campus

Many classrooms and labs at De Anza have computers installed for students to use during class hours. If you need to borrow a computer on campus at other times, here are some options.

Need Help Buying Your Own Computer?

You may be able to get financial assistance with purchasing your own computer: Check the Basic Needs webpage under "Computers and Internet Access"

Starting  Jan. 31 (the fifth week of winter quarter):

  • Laptop computers will be available for check-out to use inside the Library on Monday-Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Desktop computers will be available in the reference area during these hours
  • Desktop computers and printing will be available in the Library Computer Lab (LC 113)  from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday-Wednesday and from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Thursday. (On Thursdays, you should enter from the outside of the building facing the Sunken Garden.)

RSS Building

  • Computers in the lobby of the Registration & Student Services (RSS) building are available for students to register for classes or take care of other brief tasks.

  • Request a free computer from the Occupational Training Institute (OTI) at De Anza. OTI has a program called CompTechS that refurbishes donated computers and makes them available for eligible students at Foothill and De Anza. For more information and an application form, visit the CompTechS webpage.
