Tuition-Free Professional Development for Faculty

DMT E-2 Gene Haas BuildingDe Anza College, with the support of the Gene Haas Foundation and the National Science Foundation Advanced Technological Education (NSF ATE) funded MAADE project, is pleased to announce a series of weekend professional development courses for high school and college manufacturing, industrial technology or engineering faculty.

These intensive one-day courses will feature demos and projects that incorporate the latest in multi-axis CNC milling and robotic automation applications. Intro to Design for Additive Manufacturing (DfAM) will be offered later this spring in De Anza's new, state-of-the-art Additive Manufacturing lab.

CNC Machining Courses

Multi-Axis CNC Milling – Advanced

An intensive overview for those with 3-axis milling experience

Advanced G-code programming and 4 and 5-axis set up and operation

Automation of CNC Processes

Simulation and robotic automation of CNC processes

Use of robotic arms and cells to automate part loading, turning and tool/fixture changing

3D Printing/AM Courses

Design for Additive Manufacturing (DfAM)

For those with 3D printing experience and CAD knowledge

Principles of DfAM, parametric modeling, topology optimization considerations and advanced 3D printing processes
