In the tradition of "Students Working for Students", the De Anza Student Government is beginning our annual budget process for the 2024-2025 academic year.

There is no guarantee of receiving DASG funding. DASG funds are intended to be supplemental and are not intended to fund your entire program, nor required items that are considered the responsibility of your program such as office supplies and office equipment. Please be reasonable in your request. The DASG Budget is comprised of two funds, the Fund 41 General Fund, and the Fund 46 Student Representation and Advocacy Fund. Fund 46 can only be used for Student Representation, Advocacy, and related Leadership Training Activities. The DASG Finance Committee and DASG Senate will determine which Fund to use for your request.

  • Any Request that is not fully completed will not be accepted. The more detailed information the better.
  • The funding to be received is contingent on the quality of this application.
  • Any Request that is not in by the due date runs the risk of being rejected.

Signatures are not Required for this Application

Signatures are not required for this application; however, the Administrator should still review and approve the application and should be copied on the email submitting the application. The Budgeter and Administrator cannot be the same person. Applications must be typed and submitted via email along with any attachments. For accessibility, applications and attachments must be submitted in the original file formats when available (Word, Excel, etc.) (not scans, images, or PDFs; signatures are not required). The applications and attachments may be submitted as separate files.

Signatures that are Required for Utilizing Funds

All future financial documents, forms, requests, requisitions require the signature of the budgeter(s) and the administrator responsible for the program of the account. The budgeter and administrator responsible for the program of the account shall sign designating this is an appropriate expenditure of DASG funds and in the best interest of the student body. Administrators are responsible for any expenditures exceeding budget allocations. The Budgeter and Administrator cannot be the same person.

For DASG accounts the Budgeter is the person directly responsible for managing the account program and the Administrator is the person over them.

For questions regarding funding possibilities, procedures, requirements, etc. please attend a DASG Finance Committee Meeting, Mondays at 4:00 PM in Student Council Chambers A in the lower level of the Campus Center and online via Zoom at https://fhda-edu.zoom.us/j/81125522597?pwd=pa0J7gmgSJrYeumCPhy7ihTI9J6xGI.1. All DASG Finance Committee Agendas from October 9, 2023 through October 30, 2023 will have time allocated for any questions.

2024-2025 DASG Budget Information and Applications

2024-2025 DASG Budget Applications are now available below.

To avoid guaranteed percent reductions from your budget request, please take care to accurately and carefully complete the Request For Information (RFI) and Data Sheets/Attachments sections in the budget packet and read the entire budget rubric online.

Applications are available in Microsoft Word format only. Applications must be typed and submitted via email along with any attachments. For accessibility, applications and attachments must be submitted in the original file formats when available (Word, Excel, etc.) (not scans, images, or PDFs; signatures are not required). The applications and attachments may be submitted as separate files. Please delete the Object Codes and lines within Object Codes you do not need. Make sure to read the most recent DASG Budget Guiding Principles and the Rubric.

Applications and attachments must be typed and submitted via email to Dennis Shannakian at ShannakianDennis@fhda.edu. Please also copy the Administrator on the email.
The Subject must be in the following format:
"DASG Budget Request - Your DASG Account/Program Name - Your DASG Account Number"
For Example:

  • Monday, November 6, 2023
    Budget Applications due to the Office of College Life by 4:00 pm
    Applications and attachments must be typed and submitted via email to Dennis Shannakian at ShannakianDennis@fhda.edu.
    The Email Subject must be in the following format:

    DASG Finance Committee Approves Draft Budgets
  • Wednesday, January 31, 2024
    Final proposed draft presented to DASG Senate as an Information item
  • Wednesday, February 7, 2024
    Final proposed draft presented to DASG Senate as an Action item for First Vote
    All requestors will have an opportunity to speak on their funding requests at this meeting. Each program area, not individual person, will be allowed up to two (2) minutes maximum to speak on their funding request.
  • Wednesday, February 14, 2024
    Final proposed draft with revisions if any presented to DASG Senate as an Action item for Second Vote (tentative)*
  • Monday, May 6, 2024
    DASG Senate approved Budget presented to Board of Trustees for their approval.
  • Monday, July 1, 2024
    New FHDA Fiscal Year Begins; Funds Become Available

* The date of the Second Vote depends on when the First Vote takes place. If the deliberation is not complete on the 7th it will continue to the 14th and the Second Vote will be pushed to the 21st. Also, the DASG Budget requires a confirming vote of the same budget without changes between the votes. If any changes take place the day of the Second Vote it goes back to being a First Vote and will require a new date for a confirming Second Vote.
