The ACHA-National College Health Assessment (NCHA) is a national research survey that collects data about college students’ health habits, behaviors and perceptions. It is a confidential survey about students’ smoking habits, contraception use, mental health issues, relationship difficulties, sexual behaviors, exercise habits, preventive health practices, and perceptions of drug and alcohol use.

De Anza College students are a diverse yet distinct population with specific health risks and needs. Having current, relevant data about our students’ health can help the college enhance campus health promotion and prevention services. In collaboration with other California community colleges, De Anza participates in the NCHA Survey every three years to better understand and plan for the health needs of our students.
