Now for the editing of the mandatory candidate orientation slides
- finalized the campaign timeline:
- Option D. Campaigning period will be from Monday to Wednesday of the following week. Change it to voting & campaigning period from Wednesday to Wednesday
- edited the elections orientation slides :
general guidelines:
- made illegal to leave behind promotional election materials in public spaces
- made illegal to post on vehicles, glass windows, and doors
- made illegal to post on trees and other plants (stake on the ground is fine as long as you finance the stake)
- made it illegal to post on whiteboards
social media guidelines:
- made it illegal for a candidate to repost other candidate's posts
- enforced the max budget of $100 campaign budget
the mandatory election orientation slides will be given to Francesca, who will update it with +how to fill in a complaint form
- here are some future steps:
- website: encouraged the complaint forms to the top of the website when voting
- election code: outlaw coalitions entirely
- candidate orientation:
1) allow advisors a time segment to talk
2) create a cheat sheet of answers to the slides
3) let them take the cheat sheet with them -- non negotiable
- debate: keep the debate format the same, but go over code of conduct and be stricter about behaviors allowed.
