What is Nowruz?
Nowruz marks the arrival of spring and the beginning of a new year for more than 300 million people all around the world. It has been celebrated for more than 3,000 years in the Balkans, the Black Sea Basin, the Caucasus, Central Asia, the Middle East and other regions.
It promotes the values of peace and solidarity, as well as reconciliation and neighborliness. Through Nowruz, different communities are able to honor ties among peoples, foster friendships and share cultures.
