Guest F-1 Students

Here's how to take classes at De Anza while you are enrolled at another school

If You Are A Foothill College Student

F-1 students attending Foothill College full-time, who wish to take a class at De Anza College, must follow steps below:

  1. Contact the International Student Programs office at Foothill College to obtain an approval letter.
  2. Fill out and submit the OpenCCC application for De Anza College. This is the same application used by U.S. students. Print out the confirmation page (the last page of the online application).
  3. Submit the approval letter and signed application confirmation page to the De Anza Admissions and Records Office at webregda@deanza.edu

Pay your fees no later than five days after registering, to avoid being dropped from those classes. For summer classes, you must pay immediately after course registration to avoid being dropped from those classes.

If You Are NOT A Foothill College Student

  1. Fill out and submit the OpenCCC application for De Anza College. This is the same application used by U.S. students.
  2. The application can take up to 7-10 business days to process. Once your application is processed, you'll receive a "Welcome to De Anza" email.
    • This email will include your De Anza CWID (this is your 8-digit student ID number).
    • While you wait for your application to be processed, you can plan for class registration by reviewing the registration guide.
    • If you need assistance, contact the Admission & Records Office.

Pay your fees no later than five days after registering, to avoid being dropped from those classes. For summer classes, you must pay immediately after course registration to avoid being dropped from those classes.
